I don't have a good solution for this. I fixed it by adding a ServerName directive to my httpd.conf file, but in Gentoo's apache2 package, I was told that you shouldn't have to edit that file or use that directive at all. There is likely something wrong with my /etc/hosts or hostname or /etc/conf.d/hostname or /etc/conf.d/domain but I don't know what.

Okay. I take it back. Using the hostname command with my fqdn as the argument made this error go away.
